The Philadelphia Semiconductor index climbed 1.2%.

In corporate news, Palo Alto Networks ( PANW ) will buy CyberArk (CYBR) in a $25 billion deal that would see the cybersecurity company enter the identity security space amid an AI-driven surge in machine identities. CyberArk shares gained 1%, and Palo Alto was down 4.9%.
