03:35 PM EST, 12/16/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Tech stocks were mixed late Tuesday afternoon, with the State Street Technology Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLK) adding 0.2% and the State Street SPDR S&P Semiconductor ETF (XSD) falling 0.9%.

The Philadelphia Semiconductor index declined 0.6%.

In corporate news, Meta Platforms ( META ) said Tuesday that it is introducing SAM Audio, an AI audio editing platform that enables users to isolate and edit sounds from complex audio recordings using text, visual, or time-span prompts. Meta shares were up 1.9%.
