The Philadelphia Semiconductor index shed 1.8%.

In corporate news, Alphabet's (GOOGL) Google plans to financially support a multibillion-dollar data center in Texas that is leased to Amazon ( AMZN )-backed (AMZN) Anthropic, the Financial Times reported. Alphabet shares declined 2.2%, and Amazon ( AMZN ) was down 3.7%.
