03:40 PM EDT, 09/09/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Tech stocks were mixed late Tuesday afternoon, with the Technology Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLK) fractionally higher and the SPDR S&P Semiconductor ETF (XSD) slightly lower.
The Philadelphia Semiconductor index was marginally lower.
In corporate news, Apple ( AAPL ) on Tuesday announced a slew of new products at the annual September launch event at its Cupertino, California, headquarters, which included the new iPhone 17 series, watches and AirPods. Apple ( AAPL ) shares were down 1.5%.
Meta (META) has signed a multiyear deal worth over $100 million to use technology from German AI image startup Black Forest Labs, Bloomberg reported. Meta shares gained 1.6%.
CoreWeave ( CRWV ) shares jumped past 8% after it said Tuesday it has launched CoreWeave Ventures, a new project focused on supporting founders and companies developing AI technologies.
Samsara (IOT) lost a patent infringement complaint against rival Motive Technologies at the US International Trade Commission, FreightWaves reported Tuesday, citing the ruling. Samsara shares dropped 7.3%.
