01:59 PM EDT, 03/14/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Tech stocks were mixed Thursday afternoon, with the Technology Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLK) marginally higher and the SPDR S&P Semiconductor ETF (XSD) falling 2.4%.
The Philadelphia Semiconductor index dropped 1.7%.
In corporate news, Microsoft ( MSFT ) and Oracle (ORCL) said Thursday they are adding five more regions to their database collaboration, bringing the total planned multi-cloud availability footprint to 15 globally. Microsoft ( MSFT ) shares added 2.5% and Oracle was up 0.1%.
SentinelOne ( S ) shares sank 17% after the top end of the company's fiscal 2025 sales guidance came in a touch shy of the market forecast.
Impinj ( PI ) shares surged nearly 11%, a day after the company said it settled a patent dispute with NXP Semiconductors ( NXPI ) in exchange for non-exclusive global license agreements to use each other's technologies and other intellectual property.
