02:03 PM EDT, 06/05/2024 (MT Newswires) -- SPAR Group (SGRP) said Wednesday that it has entered into a letter of intent to go private with Highwire Capital.

Shares slumped nearly 24%, with intraday trading volume at almost 823,900 versus a daily average of about 380,000.

Silo Pharma ( SILO ) said it signed definitive agreements for the purchase and sale of 917,432 shares of common stock at $2.18 apiece in a registered direct offering.

In a concurrent private placement, the company plans to issue unregistered warrants to purchase up to 917,432 shares at an exercise price of $2.06 per share that will be immediately exercisable upon issuance and expire five years following the date of issuance.

Shares plummeted 36% as intraday trading volume climbed to over 542,000 versus the stock's daily average of about 208,000.

Dollar Tree ( DLTR ) shares slumped 5.3% amid heavy trading after the company reported lower Q1 adjusted earnings and started a formal review of strategic alternatives for its Family Dollar business segment.

Nearly 6.30 million shares traded intraday versus a daily average of roughly 3.02 million.
