01:50 PM EDT, 07/11/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Salarius Pharmaceuticals ( SLRX ) said Thursday that the US Food and Drug Administration has placed a trial evaluating seclidemstat in combination with azacitidine in adult patients with myelodysplastic syndromes and chronic myelomonocytic leukemia on partial clinical hold.

Shares sank nearly 25%, with intraday trading volume at more than 1.89 million versus a daily average of around 22,400.

Delta Air Lines ( DAL ) shares slumped 5.9% amid heavy trading after the carrier posted Thursday lower Q2 adjusted earnings.

More than 23.5 million shares traded intraday compared with a daily average of over 8.01 million.

Costco Wholesale ( COST ) shares dropped after the company announced late Wednesday an increase in membership fees and reported an increase in net sales in the five weeks ended July 7.

Shares fell 3.8%, with intraday trading volume at over 3.96 million compared with a daily average of about 1.75 million.
