02:45 PM EDT, 10/23/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Alto Neuroscience ( ANRO ) shares tumbled 69% amid heavy trading after the company said late Tuesday that a phase 2b study of ALTO-100 in patients with major depressive disorder failed to meet its primary endpoint compared with a placebo.

More than 13.5 million shares traded intraday compared with a daily average of about 366,000.

Constellium (CSTM) reported Wednesday a year-over-year decline in Q3 earnings and revenue, missing the average analyst estimates compiled by Capital IQ.

Shares slumped 28%, with intraday trading volume at over 8.8 million compared with a daily average of about 1.11 million.

Enphase Energy's ( ENPH ) shares slumped 16% after the company overnight reported lower Q3 non-GAAP earnings and revenue that trailed analyst estimates.

Over 16.9 million shares traded intraday versus a daily average of roughly 2.9 million.
