01:21 PM EST, 12/31/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Sangamo Therapeutics ( SGMO ) shares plunged 55%, a day after the company said its partner, Pfizer ( PFE ) , decided not to proceed with further development of a new gene therapy to treat hemophilia A, a bleeding disorder.

Intraday volume topped 27.8 million shares versus the daily average of 8.74 million.

Cocrystal Pharma ( COCP ) said Tuesday it plans to extend enrollment in a phase 2a influenza challenge study due to low influenza infection among study participants, making virology results uninterpretable.

The stock tumbled 37% as volume topped 426,000 shares versus the daily average of around 30,500.

Dave ( DAVE ) and Chief Executive Officer Jason Wilk are facing a complaint filed by the Justice Department for allegedly misleading consumers, the agency said Monday. The company on Tuesday denied the allegations of misleading customers with promises of cash advances, calling the complaint a case of "government overreach."

The stock fell 8.1% as volume approached 642,000 shares versus the daily average of about 493,300.
