More than 37.2 million shares traded intraday compared with a daily average of about 2.87 million.

FTAI Aviation ( FTAI ) said its audit committee is reviewing allegations made in a short-seller report by Muddy Waters Research, which could potentially delay the filing of its 2024 annual report.

Shares of FTAI slumped 29% following a surge in intraday trading volume to over 14.8 million from a daily average of about 1.91 million.

New Oriental Education & Technology Group ( EDU ) reported fiscal Q2 profit Tuesday below market expectations, and Q3 revenue guidance also missed estimates.

Shares fell 24% as intraday trading volume climbed to more than 8.87 million from a daily average of some 1.54 million.
