The company's shares were 34% higher as intraday trading volume rose to more than 1.88 million from a daily average of about 1,200.

Nvidia ( NVDA ) , late Wednesday, reported higher fiscal Q1 earnings and sales in addition to issuing fiscal Q2 revenue guidance that surpassed Capital IQ analysts' estimates.

The company's shares were up 10% as intraday trading volume rose to more than 56.2 million versus the stock's daily average of about 48.5 million.
