The company cited restructuring of directorship/nominees of the TotalEnergies Group in India as the reason for the resignation. Total Energies has instead nominated a new nominee director, and the proposal for the same will soon be placed before the nomination and remuneration committee and the company's board, it informed the stock exchanges.

As per the company's website, Friga-Noy is a public affairs, geopolitical advisor, and negotiation expert and has over 20 years experience in the public and private sector. She holds a bachelor's degree in international law and master's degree in public law.

On another note, earlier this year, the CFO of Adani Total Gas had said it will invest Rs 18,000 crore to Rs 20,000 crore in the next eight to 10 years to expand the infrastructure for retailing CNG to automobiles and piping gas to households and industries.
