U.S. Crude Oil Inventories Gain 3.6 Million Barrels as Gasoline Stocks Decline in Week Ended Feb. 28, EIA Reports

05:38 AM EST, 03/06/2025 (MT Newswires) -- U.S. crude oil inventories rose 3.6 million barrels to 433.8 million barrels in the week ended Feb. 28, the U.S. Energy Information Administration said in its This Week in Petroleum report released on Wednesday.

Crude oil production also increased by 7,000 barrels per day to 13.5 million b/d, the EIA reported. Crude oil imports declined by 276,000 b/d to 5.97 million b/d while crude oil exports fell 48,000 b/d to 4.15 million b/d, according to the agency.

Total gasoline stocks decreased by 1.5 million barrels to 246.8 million barrels. Distillate stockpiles also fell 1.3 million barrels to 119.2 million barrels, the EIA reported.
