Dinhata is an Assembly constituency in the Cooch Behar district, in the North Bengal region of West Bengal. The Dinhata constituency went to polls on April 10, 2021.

In the 2016 Assembly elections, Dinhata was won by Udayan Guha of IND. Before that, in the 2011 elections, the seat was held by Udayan Guha of AIFB.In the 2016 assembly polls, Udayan Guha garnered 100732 votes, securing over 45.04 percent of the vote share, and winning the seat by a margin of 21793 votes.
In percentage terms, the victory margin was 9.74 percent. The constituency polled 223783 votes in the 2016 West Bengal assembly polls with a voter turnout of 81.88 percent. The Dinhata constituency has a literacy level of 75.49 percent. A total of 10 candidates stood in the 2016 elections.
