The third and the largest phase of the seven-phase Lok Sabha elections is scheduled for today, April 23 which will see a maximum of 117 Lok Sabha constituencies going to poll, spread across 13 states and two union territories.

It also marks the last day of polling in the southern states.

The polling dates for the general elections are April 11, April 18, April 23, April 29, May 6, May 12 and May 19. The counting of votes will be done on May 23.

Here's all you need to know about the second phase of the ongoing elections:

States and union territories going to polls on April 23:

Assam, Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Gujarat, Goa, Jammu and Kashmir, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, Odisha, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Tripura, Dadra and Nagar Haveli, and Daman and Diu.

Here's how you can check your name in the voter list

State-wise break-up:

Assam: Main parties: BJP, Congress, Asom Gana Parishad (AGP).

Constituencies: 4 constituencies. Barpeta, Guwahati, Dhubri, Kokrajhar.

Bihar: Main parties: BJP+Janata Dal (United) alliance, Congress and Rashtriya Janata Dal alliance, Lok Janshakti Party, Janata Dal.

Constituencies: 5 constituencies. Araria, Madhepura, Khagaria, Jhanjharpur, Supaul.

Chhattisgarh: Main parties: BJP, Congress and Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP).

Constituencies: 7 constituencies. Bilaspur, Durg, Surguja, Raigarh, Janjgir-Champa, Korba, Raipur.

Gujarat: Main parties: Congress and BJP.

Constituencies: 26 constituencies. Ahmedabad East, Ahmedabad West, Amreli, Anand, Banaskantha, Bardoli, Bharuch, Bhavnagar, Chhota Udaipur, Dahod, Gandhi nagar, Jamnagar, Junagadh, Kachchh, Kheda, Mahesana, Navsari, Panchmahal, Patan, Porbandar, Rajkot, Sabarkantha, Surat, Surendra nagar, Vadodara, Valsad.

Goa: Main parties: United Goans Democratic Party (UGDP), NCP, Maharashtrawadi Gomantak Party (MGP), Congress, BJP.

Constituencies: 2 constituencies. North Goa, South Goa.

Jammu and Kashmir: Main parties: Congress, BJP, National Conference, People's Democratic Party (PDP).

Constituencies: 1 constituency. Anantnag.

Karnataka: Main parties: BJP, Congress, Janata Dal (Secular), Communist Party of India (Marxist).

Constituencies: 14 constituencies. Bijapur, Bidar, Bellary, Belgaum, Bagalkot, Gulbarga, Raichur, Koppal, Haveri, Dharwad, Uttara Kannada, Davanagere, Shimoga, Chikkodi.

Kerala: Main parties: Congress, BJP, Communist Marxist Party, Indian Union Muslim League, Kerala People's Party.

Constituencies: 20 constituencies. Attingal, Alappuzha, Alathur, Kasaragod, Kannur, Vadakara, Wayanad, Kozhikode, Malappuram, Ponnani, Palakkad, Thrissur, Chalakudy, Ernakulam, Idukki, Kottayam, Mavelikkara, Pathanamthitta, Kollam, Thiruvananthapuram.

Maharashtra: Main parties: BJP and Shiv Sena (SS); Congress and National Congress Party (NCP).

Constituencies: 10 constituencies. Aonla, Bareilly, Badaun, Etah, Moradabad, Rampur, Sambhal, Firozabad, Mainpuri and Pilibhit.

West Bengal: Main parties: BJP, Congress, All India Trinamool Congress (TMC) and Left (CPM, RSP, AIFB).

Constituencies: 5 constituencies. Balurghat, Maldaha Uttar, Maldaha Dakshin, Jangipur, Murshidabad.

Tripura: Main parties: Communist Party of India-Marxist, BJP and Congress.

Constituencies: 1 constituency. Tripura East.

Dadra and Nagar Haveli: Main parties: Congress and BJP.
