ScaleOut Software Enhances Active Caching With Generative AI
Mar 10, 2026 8:43 PM

Gen AI powers real-time analytics for distributed caching, enabling organizations to spot trends and respond in real time.

BELLEVUE, Wash.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--

Today, ScaleOut Software introduces key enhancements to its ScaleOut Active Caching™ technology that powers the next generation of its industry-leading distributed caching and in-memory data grid software. This latest update, the Gen AI Release of the ScaleOut Product Suite™, adds new generative AI features that automate the creation of real-time analytics. Powered by the industry’s leading large language model, users can now easily create visualizations of live data stored in the distributed cache to quickly identify emerging trends and enable immediate responses.

The addition of Gen AI builds on ScaleOut Active Caching’s next-generation technology for running application code directly within ScaleOut’s distributed cache. Gen AI enables non-technical users to use natural-language prompts for creating charts, queries, and geospatial visualizations that track changes to fast-changing data stored in the distributed cache. For example, an ecommerce retailer can create visualizations that track customer reactions to a flash sale and then optimize the sale’s performance to maximize revenues. The ability to operationalize real-time information gives organizations a competitive edge across numerous industries, from e-commerce and financial services to transportation, logistics, gaming, security, and beyond.

“With the addition of Gen AI to ScaleOut Active Caching, we’re delivering powerful new capabilities for extracting insights from fast-changing data,” said Dr. William Bain, CEO and founder of ScaleOut Software. “A company like Amazon typically processes millions of orders a day, but organizations of all sizes face the same need to respond quickly as conditions change. That’s where the unique combination of active caching with Gen AI-powered analytics enables customers to strengthen their operational intelligence, increase efficiency, and respond to changing conditions in real time.”

This update brings Gen AI directly into ScaleOut Active Caching’s management UI for dynamically deploying modules, monitoring performance, and visualizing cached-data. OpenAI’s large language model converts natural-language prompts into precise chart and query specifications that extract and combine data from JSON-encoded objects stored in the distributed cache. Gen AI brings real-time visualization to nontechnical users.

This release also debuts a next-generation object browser for viewing cached objects, featuring new search and filtering capabilities and an updated interface designed for better usability. It also introduces support for connecting ScaleOut’s distributed cache to Amazon’s Simple Queuing Service (SQS), enabling ScaleOut Active Caching to process messages from SQS.
