10:36 AM EDT, 07/07/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Asian equities traded in the US as American depositary receipts opened the week sharply lower Monday morning, falling 1.13% to 2,318.25 on the S&P Asia 50 ADR Index.
From North Asia, the gainers were led by video-sharing platform Bilibili ( BILI ) and pet-focused platform Boqii ( BQ ) , which climbed 7.3% and 6.2% respectively. They were followed by tech company Baidu ( BIDU ) and music streaming company Tencent Music Entertainment Group ( TME ) , which advanced 4.8% and 3.6% respectively.
The decliners from North Asia were led by fintech firm Pintec Technology (PT) and polysilicon manufacturer Daqo New Energy (DQ), which fell 6.4% and 6.9% respectively. They were followed by mobile big data platform Aurora Mobile (JG) and solar panel maker JinkoSolar (JKS), which dropped 5.9% and 3.9% respectively.
From South Asia, the only gainers were tech conglomerate Sea (SE) and pharmaceutical company Dr. Reddy's Laboratories (RDY), which rose 1.6% and 1% respectively.
The decliners from South Asia were led by telecommunications operator PLDT ( PHI ) and financial services company HDFC Bank ( HDB ) , which lost 1.2% and 1% respectively. They were followed by telecommunications operator Telekomunikasi Indonesia (TLK) and IT firm Wipro ( WIT ) , which were off 0.9% and 0.8% respectively.
