Asian Equities Traded in the US as American Depositary Receipts Rise in Wednesday Trading

10:28 AM EST, 02/05/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Asian equities traded in the US as American depositary receipts were up Wednesday morning, rising 0.31% to 2,172.27 on the S&P Asia 50 ADR Index.

From North Asia, the gainers were led by automotive ecommerce platform TuanChe ( TC ) and consumer lending firm Eason Technology ( DXF ) , which climbed 11% and 9.8% respectively. They were followed by mobile big data platform Aurora Mobile ( JG ) and financial services company Nomura (NMR), which increased 6.8% and 5.6% respectively.

The decliners from North Asia were led by pet-focused platform Boqii ( BQ ) and diagnostic imaging centers company Concord Medical Services (CCM), which fell 5.9% and 5.1% respectively. They were followed by tech company Baidu ( BIDU ) and electric vehicle maker NIO (NIO), which were down 3.3% each.

From South Asia, the gainers were led by telecommunications operator PLDT ( PHI ) and pharmaceutical company Dr. Reddy's Laboratories (RDY), which rose 1% and 0.8% respectively. They were followed by financial services company HDFC Bank ( HDB ) , which was up 0.7%

The decliners from South Asia were led by tech conglomerate Sea (SE) and IT firm Infosys ( INFY ) , which dropped 2.1% and 1.4% respectively. They were followed by IT firm Wipro ( WIT ) and financial services company ICICI Bank ( IBN ) , which were off 0.7% and 0.2% respectively.
