Asian Equities Traded in the US as American Depositary Receipts Trend Higher in Tuesday Trading

10:42 AM EDT, 07/02/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Asian equities traded in the US as American depositary receipts were trending moderately higher Tuesday morning, rising 0.4% to 1,969.76 on the S&P Asia 50 ADR Index.

From North Asia, the gainers were led by financial services company CNFinance ( CNF ) and game live-streaming platform DouYu International ( DOYU ) , which climbed 9% and 6.1%, respectively. They were followed by pet-focused platform Boqii ( BQ ) and solar panel maker JinkoSolar ( JKS ) , which rose 5.1% and 3.1%, respectively.

The decliners from North Asia were led by automotive e-commerce platform TuanChe ( TC ) , which fell 6.9%, followed by online game developer The9 ( NCTY ) , which declined 4.8%. Property technology firm Fangdd Network Group ( DUO ) was down 4.6%, and diagnostic imaging centers company Concord Medical Services ( CCM ) fell 4.3%.

From South Asia, the gainers were led by financial services company HDFC Bank ( HDB ) and IT firm Wipro ( WIT ) , which increased 3% and 2.8%, respectively. They were followed by IT firm Infosys ( INFY ) and biotech firm ASLAN Pharmaceuticals ( ASLN ) , which were up 2.1% and 0.7%, respectively.

The decliners from South Asia were led by telecommunications operator Telekomunikasi Indonesia (TLK) and financial services company ICICI Bank ( IBN ) , which lost 2.1% and 1.1%, respectively. They were followed by tech conglomerate Sea (SE) and telecommunications operator PLDT ( PHI ) which were off 0.6% each.
