Oct 10 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index opened flat

on Friday after a surprise jump in employment figures led

investors to scale back expectations for an October interest

rate cut from the Bank of Canada.

At 9:31 a.m. ET (1331 GMT), Toronto's S&P/TSX composite

index was up 0.01% at 30,266.51 points.
