Feb 7 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index opened
subdued on Friday as gains in mining shares countered declines
in communication stocks, while investors evaluated key Canadian
and U.S. employment data to gauge the interest-rate outlook in
both economies.
At 9:31 a.m. ET (1431 GMT), the Toronto Stock Exchange's
S&P/TSX composite index was up 0.05% at 25,548.01.
