CANADA STOCKS-TSX opens higher as bank earnings kick off on positive note

Feb 25 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index opened

higher on Tuesday, boosted by financial shares as investors

cheered upbeat quarterly earnings by nation's major banks.

At 9:31 a.m. ET (1431 GMT), the Toronto Stock Exchange's

S&P/TSX composite index was up 0.3% at 25,233.64.
