CANADA STOCKS-TSX opens higher as metal mining shares gain; TD Bank rises

Feb 10 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index opened

higher on Monday, lifted by metal mining shares, while the

country's second-biggest lender Toronto-Dominion Bank ( MLWIQXX )

rose 1.7% on plans to divest its stake worth $15.4 billion in

Charles Schwab ( SCHW ).

At 9:31 a.m. ET (1431 GMT), the Toronto Stock Exchange's

S&P/TSX composite index was up 0.98% at 25691.57.
