CANADA STOCKS-TSX opens higher as resources-linked stocks provide support

Aug 9 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index opened

marginally higher on Friday as investors took a breather to

reassess a turbulent week for stocks, while an uptick in

commodity prices helped keep the market afloat.

At 9:30 a.m. ET (13:30 GMT), the Toronto Stock Exchange's

S&P/TSX composite index was up 28.64 points, or 0.13%,

at 22,254.25.
