CANADA STOCKS-TSX opens higher on materials boost

April 26 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index opened

higher on Friday, lifted by materials stocks tracking higher

commodity prices, while upbeat megacap earnings on Wall Street

boosted investor sentiment.

At 9:30 a.m. ET (13:30 GMT), the Toronto Stock Exchange's

S&P/TSX composite index was up 62.77 points, or 0.29%,

at 21,948.15.21,948.15
