Dec 9 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index opened
higher on Monday, lifted by mining stocks, while investors
awaited the Bank of Canada's policy decision later in the week
that is expected to result in a large interest rate cut.
At 9:31 a.m. ET (1431 GMT), the Toronto Stock Exchange's
S&P/TSX composite index was up 124.26 points, or
0.48%, at 25,816.06.
