CANADA STOCKS-TSX opens lower as disappointing GDP data fuels recession fears

April 30 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index opened

lower on Wednesday, as disappointing domestic and U.S. GDP data

intensified investor fears that the trade war would lead to a

global recession.

At 9:31 a.m. ET (1331 GMT), the Toronto Stock Exchange's

S&P/TSX composite index was down 0.8% at 24,671.21

points.
