CANADA STOCKS-TSX opens lower as material stocks drag

July 18 (Reuters) - Canada's main stock index dipped on

Thursday, hurt by losses in the materials sector as copper

prices slid, offsetting a rebound in technology stocks that

followed their Wall Street peers.

At 9:33 a.m. ET (1333 GMT), the Toronto Stock Exchange's

S&P/TSX composite index was down 0.14% at 22,819.46

points.
