European Equities Traded in the US as American Depositary Receipts Edge Lower in Friday Trading; Down Modestly for Week

11:05 AM EST, 11/07/2025 (MT Newswires) -- European equities traded in the US as American depositary receipts were tracking lower late Friday morning, declining 0.47% to 1,581.77 on the S&P Europe Select ADR Index, which is off about 0.70% for the week so far.

From continental Europe, the gainers were led by medical device maker EDAP TMS ( EDAP ) and biopharmaceutical company Cellectis ( CLLS ) , which advanced 5.7% and 3.2%, respectively. They were followed by biopharmaceutical company DBV Technologies ( DBVT ) and internet browser company Opera (OPRA), which increased 2.7% and 1.4%, respectively.

The decliners from continental Europe were led by biotech firm Evaxion ( EVAX ) and 3D printer company Materialise (MTLS), which dropped 3.5% and 2.2%, respectively. They were followed by biotech firm BioNTech (BNTX) and biopharmaceutical company Genfit ( GNFT ) , which lost 2.1% and 2%, respectively.

From the UK and Ireland, the gainers were led by biopharmaceutical company Akari Therapeutics ( AKTX ) and alcoholic beverage company Diageo ( DEO ) , which rose 4.1% and 3.1%, respectively. They were followed by communications company WPP ( WPP ) and software firm Endava ( DAVA ) , which were up 2.4% and 1.9%, respectively.

The decliners from the UK and Ireland were led by biopharmaceutical companies Mereo BioPharma Group ( MREO ) and Biodexa Pharmaceuticals ( BDRX ) , which fell 4.8% and 3.6%, respectively. They were followed by biopharmaceutical company Bicycle Therapeutics ( BCYC ) and biotech firm Autolus Therapeutics ( AUTL ) , which were down 3.2% and 2.6%, respectively.
