European Equities Traded in the US as American Depositary Receipts Fall in Friday Trading, Down 2.8% for Week

11:29 AM EDT, 10/10/2025 (MT Newswires) -- European equities traded in the US as American depositary receipts were lower late Friday morning, falling 0.8% to 1,559.9 on the S&P Europe Select ADR Index, which is down 2.8% for the week.

From continental Europe, the gainers were telecommunications company Ericsson (ERIC) and medical device maker EDAP TMS ( EDAP ) , which rose 1.6% and 0.7% respectively.

The decliners from continental Europe were led by biotech firm Evaxion ( EVAX ) and biopharmaceutical company DBV Technologies ( DBVT ) , which fell 5.5% and 4% respectively. They were followed by petroleum refiner Equinor ( EQNR ) and oil and gas company Eni (E), which were down 2% and 1.7% respectively.

From the UK and Ireland, the gainers were led by telecommunications operator Vodafone Group ( VOD ) and pharmaceutical company Silence Therapeutics ( SLN ) , which advanced 1% each, followed by publishing and education company Pearson (PSO), which added 0.9%.

The decliners from the UK and Ireland were led by biopharmaceutical companies Adaptimmune Therapeutics ( ADAP ) and Biodexa Pharmaceuticals ( BDRX ) , which shed 12.7% and 8.6% respectively. They were followed by biopharmaceutical companies Akari Therapeutics ( AKTX ) and Mereo BioPharma Group ( MREO ) , which dropped 9.6% and 4.5% respectively.
