European Equities Traded in the US as American Depositary Receipts Rise Thursday

11:22 AM EDT, 06/05/2025 (MT Newswires) -- European equities traded in the US as American depositary receipts were advancing on Thursday morning, up 0.7% to 1,476.59 on the S&P Europe Select ADR Index.

From continental Europe, the gainers were led by healthcare company Grifols ( GRFS ) and financial services provider Banco Santander (SAN), which rose 3.2% and 1.9% respectively.

They were followed by steel manufacturer ArcelorMittal ( MT ) , which added 1.7%, and semiconductor company ASML ( ASML ) , which increased 1.5%.

The decliners from continental Europe were led by biotech company Evaxion ( EVAX ) and cybersecurity firm Wisekey (WKEY), which fell 4.3% and 2.2% respectively.

They were followed by advertising company Criteo ( CRTO ) , down 2%.

From the UK and Ireland, the gainers were led by biotech firm Autolus Therapeutics ( AUTL ) and cigarette manufacturer British American Tobacco ( BTI ) , which rose 3.6% and 2.6% respectively.

The decliners from the UK and Ireland were led by biotech firm Centessa Pharmaceuticals ( CNTA ) and beverage giant Diageo ( DEO ) , which lost 7.8% and 3.9% respectively.
