11:38 AM EDT, 08/10/2026 (MT Newswires) -- The European stock markets closed mixed in Monday trading as investors continue to gauge developments in the Middle East war, as corporate earnings reports continue to roll in.

The Stoxx Europe was unchanged, Germany's DAX gained 0.2%, the FTSE 100 fell 0.3%, France's CAC increased 0.1%, and the Swiss Market Index rose 0.4%.

In corporate news, Novo Nordisk said Monday it has signed a partnership with Amazon.com's Amazon Web Services to advance drug discovery for serious chronic conditions and upgrade its operations through agentic artificial intelligence and cloud technologies.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

Under the partnership, Novo Nordisk will use Amazon Bio Discovery and Amazon Bedrock to identify drug targets, accelerate the design of new therapies, and connect genomic, imaging, and clinical data, it said.

Rheinmetall and Boeing are accelerating Germany's development of Collaborative Combat Aircraft capabilities through the MQ-28 Ghost Bat fighter drone platform, Rheinmetall said Monday.

The companies said previous flight tests show the MQ-28 can meet German requirements for both air-to-ground and air-to-air operations.

Boeing is continuing to invest in the MQ-28 platform, including expanding its air-to-ground capabilities, while working with Rheinmetall to establish an industrial ecosystem in Germany involving Rohde & Schwarz, Diehl Defence and Hensoldt, Rheinmetall said.

Diageo received a warning from India's food safety regulator regarding misleading claims that one of its popular whiskies was aged in American oak casks, Reuters reported Saturday, citing a confidential government notice.

The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India stated that the product consists primarily of unaged spirits and noted that labeling must reflect the youngest spirit in the blend, the news outlet reported.

The warning comes soon after the agency banned sales of select spirits made by Diageo due to artificial flavorings, Reuters reported, citing an FSSAI announcement Sunday.

Diageo and the FSSAI did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.

Shares of the alcoholic beverage company edged 0.1% higher in London.

Eni and United Arab Emirates-based Khazna Data Center have received approval from the European Commission to create a joint venture focused on the construction, management and operation of data centers, the Commission said Monday.

The transaction would not raise competition concerns due to the companies' limited combined market positions, the regulator said.

The deal was reviewed under the EU's simplified merger procedure, it added.

Shares of the Italian oil and gas major rose 1.3% in Milan.

UBS Group's UBS Investment Bank has made a strategic investment in artificial intelligence startup Finster AI to advance AI innovation in investment banking, Finster AI said on Monday.

Financial details of the investment were not disclosed.

The UBS investment comes as part of Finster's Series B financing round, alongside FactSet (FDS), Finster said.

Shares of the Swiss bank increased 0.9% in Zurich.
