Oct 10 (Reuters) - Greek industrial output rose by 3.1%
year-on-year in August, after a downwardly revised 9.9% increase
in July, data from statistics service ELSTAT showed on Thursday.
A breakdown of index components showed manufacturing
production rose 3.1% from the same month in 2023. Electricity
output was up by 3.9% year-on-year, and mining production was
down by 5.5%.
Compared to the same month a year earlier, in August the
greatest percentage increase was recorded in the tobacco
products division, while the highest percentage decrease was
recorded in the mining of coal and lignite, ELSTAT said.
