US Treasury Reports Net Inflows Slowed in July Based on TICS Data

04:06 PM EDT, 09/18/2025 (MT Newswires) -- The US Treasury reported Thursday that there was a net combined $2.1 billion inflow of long-term, short-term and banking flows in July, compared with a $92.1 billion inflow in June.

Long-term securities transactions represented a $49.2 billion inflow. Short-term transactions were a net $13.8 billion inflow, while bank liabilities were a net $60.9 billion outflow.

By country, Japan remained the largest holder of Treasury securities with $1.151 trillion.
