3D Systems Wins $7.65 Million US Air Force Contract; Shares Rise After Hours

04:29 PM EDT, 08/26/2025 (MT Newswires) -- 3D Systems ( DDD ) said late Tuesday that it has been awarded a $7.65 million contract by the US Air Force to build a large-scale metal 3D printer tailored for high-speed flight applications.

The two-year contract builds on a program initiated in 2023 aimed at advancing additive manufacturing for the production of large, high-temperature metal components.

The initiative expands on its long-term partnership with the Department of Defense and has potential applications across both defense and commercial aerospace sectors, noted 3D Systems ( DDD ).

3D Systems ( DDD ) shares rose 6.1% during after-hours trading.
