05:10 PM EDT, 07/25/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Advantage Energy ( AAVVF ) on Thursday said it swung to a loss in the second quarter on weak natural gas prices.
The Western Canadian oil and gas producer said it lost $12.08 million, or $0.07 per share in the period, compared with a profit of $2.54 million, or $0.02, in the year-prior quarter.
Revenue fell 3% to $104.08 million from $107.24 million.
The company did not offer commentary on its loss, though the average price for its natural gas fell 35% to $1.82 per thousand cubic feet in the quarter.
Advantage shares closed down $0.09 to $9.80 on the Toronto Stock Exxchange.
