Air Canada Expands Service to India for Winter 2024-25; Pilots to Reportedly Seek Help From Federal Conciliator For Talks With Air Canada
Jun 3, 2024 6:13 AM

08:57 AM EDT, 06/03/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Air Canada ( ACDVF ) said Monday that it will expand its service to India for winter 2024-25 by increasing seat capacity by 40% from late October.

Air Canada ( ACDVF ) will operate 25 weekly flights, representing 7,400 seats each week this winter from Canada to India.

This will comprise up to 11 weekly flights from Toronto to Delhi and Mumbai, daily flights from Montreal to Delhi, and daily flights to Delhi from Western Canada via London Heathrow, the airline said.

In more company news, Air Canada ( ACDVF ) pilots plan to approach a federal conciliator for help in talks with the airline regarding a stalled contract, The Canadian Press reported, citing a statement by the union representing the pilots.

The Air Line Pilots Association reportedly said the parties have yet to reach an agreement despite being engaged in talks for a year. This reportedly included six months of voluntary mediation.

The union is representing more than 5,000 Air Canada ( ACDVF ) pilots.
