AKITA Drilling Appoints Rob Symonds as a New Independent Director

03:51 PM EST, 11/25/2025 (MT Newswires) -- AKITA Drilling (AKT-A.TO) on Tuesday said Rob Symonds was appointed to its board of directors, effective Monday.

Chief Executive Colin Dease said Symonds brings more than 40 years of operational experience in the oil and gas industry and will be a valuable addition to the board.

Symonds began his career as a reservoir engineer at Shell Canada. He most recently served as chief operating officer of Husky Energy, according to the statement.

Akita's Class A shares were last seen down $0.01 to $1.80 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
