05:15 PM EST, 01/08/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Alamos Gold ( AGI ) after close of trade Wednesday said it appointed Robert Prichard as chair of the company's
board of directors, effective immediately.
Prichard succeeds Paul Murphy, who passed away in December after serving on the board for over 14 years and as chair for the past nine years.
Prichard has been a member of the Alamos Board since 2019. He is a lawyer, non-executive Chairman of Torys LLP, a director of Onex (ONEX.TO), Wittington Investments Limited, Chair of VIA HFR, and Vice Chair of the Rideau Hall Foundation.
"Rob's long history of leadership, extensive legal expertise, coupled with his broad capital markets experience, including within the mining sector, makes him the ideal person to lead our Board," said chief executive John McCluskey. "We look forward to Rob's ongoing leadership as we continue to execute on our growth initiatives and deliver long-term value to all of our stakeholders."
Alamos shares closed up $0.88 to $27.78 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
