06:34 AM EDT, 07/15/2026 (MT Newswires) -- Alnylam Pharmaceuticals ( ALNY ) has launched a global mid-stage trial of mivelsiran in Down syndrome-associated Alzheimer's disease and has completed enrollment in another mid-stage study in cerebral amyloid angiopathy, the company said Wednesday.

The company also reported early-stage data showing mivelsiran has maintained a favorable safety profile and delivered durable reductions in Alzheimer's disease biomarkers for up to 30 months of treatment.

In addition, Alnylam shared preclinical data and the design of an ongoing early-stage study of the tau-targeting candidate ALN-5288, which is being developed with Regeneron Pharmaceuticals for Alzheimer's disease and other tauopathies.
