06:29 AM EST, 01/31/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Amazon ( AMZN ) is ramping up its advertising on X after significantly cutting its spending on the social media platform more than a year ago due to concerns about content moderation, multiple news outlets reported Thursday, citing sources familiar with the matter.
Amazon ( AMZN ) CEO Andy Jassy reportedly played a key role in the decision to increase the advertisement spending budget on X.
Apple (AAPL), which completely withdrew its advertising from X in late 2023, has recently explored the possibility of running ads on the platform again, the media outlets added citing a source.
The news outlets also said ad revenue on X remains below levels seen before Elon Musk's $44 billion acquisition of what was then known as Twitter in 2022.
