American Airlines Introduces Free Wi-Fi on Over 2 Million Flights a Year

10:35 AM EST, 01/06/2026 (MT Newswires) -- American Airlines ( AAL ) said Tuesday that it is introducing free Wi-Fi sponsored by AT&T ( T ) on over 2 million flights a year.

The airline said it will start offering free Wi-Fi on all of its narrowbody and dual-class regional fleets in January, with nearly all flights set to be covered by early spring.

Customers can access Wi-Fi by signing up to be an AAdvantage member, the company said.

Shares of American Airlines ( AAL ) were up 1.4% in recent trading.
