Analysts polled by FactSet expected $4.00.

Revenue for the quarter ended Sept. 30 was $18.43 billion, compared with $16.64 billion a year earlier.

Analysts surveyed by FactSet expected $18.05 billion.

The company increased its 2025 EPS outlook range to between $15.20 and $15.50, up from $15 to $15.50.

Analysts polled by FactSet expect $15.34.

American Express ( AXP ) also increased full-year revenue growth projection to between 9% and 10%, up from its previous 8% to 10%.

Shares of American Express ( AXP ) were 1.4% higher in premarket trading.
