06:29 AM EDT, 05/20/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Archer Aviation ( ACHR ) said Monday it signed a memorandum of understanding with Etihad Aviation Training for a partnership to recruit and train potential pilots for its Midnight electrical vertical takeoff and landing aircraft in the United Arab Emirates.

Financial terms were not disclosed.

The two companies hope to train a class of electric air taxi pilots to sustain air mobility operations across the Arabian Peninsula country.

Etihad Aviation Training Chief Executive Paolo La Cava said a Midnight flight simulator is to be installed this year with operations launching as early as 2025.
