BofA hires Citi's Chief Accounting Officer Okpara, FT reports

Sept 16 (Reuters) - Bank of America ( BAC ) has hired

Citigroup's ( C/PN ) Chief Accounting Officer Johnbull Okpara to

act in the same position, the Financial Times reported on

Monday.

Okpara resigned from Citi earlier this month. At Bank of

America ( BAC ), he will replace Rudolf Bless, who has been the chief

accounting officer at BofA for nearly a decade, the report

added, citing an internal memo.

The report did not clarify the reason for Bless stepping

down from his role.
