08:52 AM EST, 12/19/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Capital One Financial ( COF ) said Thursday that it has received approval from the Office of the Delaware State Bank Commissioner to complete its acquisition of Discover Financial Services ( DFS ) and its Discover Bank subsidiary.

Capital One said it expects the deal to close in early 2025, pending approval by each company's shareholders, as well as other closing conditions.
