08:11 AM EDT, 06/26/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Cedar Fair ( FUN ) and Six Flags Entertainment ( SIX ) said on Wednesday that they have received permission to finalize their merger of equals, having fulfilled all regulatory conditions.

The companies said that following the merger, which is anticipated to conclude on July 1, the combined entity will be renamed "Six Flags Entertainment Corp."

They added that the merged company will trade on the New York Stock Exchange under the "FUN " ticker from July 2.
