CGI Says U.S. State Department Extends Contract in Passports Application Processing Services

07:02 AM EDT, 08/06/2024 (MT Newswires) -- CGI's (GIB-A.TO) U.S. operating subsidiary, CGI Federal, on Tuesday announced a 2-year, US$378 million extension of its contract with the U.S. Department of State for passport application processing services.

Over the last decade, CGI has helped the Bureau improve workflow, reduce administrative burdens for federal employees and improve transparency into the passport application process.

The current contract extension will also involve CGI improving customer service assistance, including more channels through which they can apply for documents and pay fees.
