Jan 28, 2025 2:02 PM

04:31 PM EST, 01/28/2025 (MT Newswires) -- Canadian Pacific Kansas City ( CP ) (CP.TO, CP) after close of trade Tuesday said it reached a tentative four-year collective agreement with the Teamsters Canada Rail Conference - Maintenance of Way Employees Division (TCRC-MWED), the union representing approximately 2,300 engineering service employees across Canada.

Details of the tentative collective agreement are not being released pending ratification.

The agreement comes a day after the railway and Unifor, which represents 1,200 mechanics, laborers, diesel service attendants and mechanical support staff, reached a new collective agreement.

"Working together with the TCRC-MWED, we are pleased to have reached an agreement that is good for our railroaders and their families across Canada," said chief executive Keith Creel. "With another tentative collective agreement completed at the negotiating table, we can continue our work safely and efficiently serving our customers and delivering for the Canadian economy."

The company's shares closed down $1.93 to $114.02 on the Toronto Stock Exchange.
