02:45 PM EDT, 03/21/2024 (MT Newswires) -- Eastman Chemical ( EMN ) said Thursday that its new molecular recycling facility in Kingsport, Tennessee, has achieved "on-spec initial production," and started generating revenue.

Eastman aims to increase production at its new facility, driving growth in multiple markets, and plans to invest in two more recycling plants, one in France and another in the US, the company said.

Shares of Eastman were up 1.7% in recent trading.
